I need to reblog this again because it still makes me laugh
Time to answer rhetorical questions yo!
Purple is the color of regality, and most of the villains who wear it are either royals, nobility, or very wealthy. It’s also the strongest wavelength in the rainbow (the next wavelength up is UV which is harmful to humans), and most of the villains are after power of some sort. Finally, and this really only applies to a few of them, it symbolizes magic and the supernatural, so it makes sense for the witches and sorcerers to wear it.
Now explain why most disney girls start off in blue!
Because the color blue is the harshest color for our eyes to see. In fact, it’s the last color babies’ eyes can process, but it catches our eyes the best because it is so harsh. When the Disney girls wear blue, they want your eyes to immediately be attracted to them specifically; to pay the most attention to them. It as if their saying “This is who you should be paying attention to,” just in case you couldn’t figure it out. Also, in pioneer times, blue was the required color of a child to wear if she had blonde hair and blue eyes, such as Sleeping Beauty or Cinderella. It’s simply traditional.
so why pink?
The color pink represents love, nurturing, positive feelings and compassion. It also can stand for hope in times where there seems there is none to be had. It can also represent sweetness and innocence, qualities a lot of princesses possess.
I learned so much from this post wow
Purple. Guys, Disney can’t hide shit from us anymore…we’re becoming aware.
So is that why Elsa goes from blue with a bit of purple like she might be the villain to fucking slaying in ice blue like LET THAT SHIT GO LOOK AT MEEEEE
